You're cordially invited ...

My name is Erin Medina. I am a portrait photographer and print artist based in Franklin, TN just south of Nashville. My specialty is providing custom portrait experiences for women and their loves ones that create timeless, magazine style portraiture in a printed product for their homes that they will treasure for generations. The aim of my photography practice is to empower women by showing each of them the best of themselves and teaching them how to improve their connection to cameras thereby building their confidence.

Often when you step in front of a camera, it's a vulnerable place sometimes even isolating.  When you put your trust in me, I take that vulnerability seriously and will help you prepare for your session with a wardrobe and design consultation to capture the photographs of your dreams. If you're like me, you've struggled with developing your wardrobe style and your perception of your own body image so it's difficult to step in front of a lens, much less someone else's.

My promise to you is that the images will reflect your unique, authentic beauty and be cherished for generations. You should see the best of yourself in a professional portrait. During a professional photo shoot you should learn to better connect with the camera so that you treasure the resulting photographs for years. Plus, you'll be able to apply what you've learned to future photography sessions and even snapshots on your phone. When you become a client, I want to create printed images you'll cherish and you buy only the images you love.

I invite you to call me for a complimentary consultation to begin designing the session of your dreams.

Reflections on Mardi Gras and Seeing Your Beauty

Happy Mardi Gras from Franklin, TN!

Many celebrate today with a bit of excess in the form of food or drink.  Some do it to revel in the festive nature of the celebration and others do it in preparation of the the Lenten season, which they then treat as an opportunity to transform their life by giving up a bad habit or by developing a positive change in their life such as learning a new skill or developing a new fitness regimen.  To me, Mardi Gras signifies a celebration of life and the start of positive transformation.

A portrait session can also be an opportunity to reveal a new side of yourself or display a side that gets left behind in the wake of daily activities. The beauty of a portrait session is that you can explore your different qualities through your personal style. At a full portrait session, you can bring in up to 5 outfits centered around a single theme (e.g. vintage glamour) or across a range of styles to better reflect your style preferences.  The resulting images represent your timeless, authentic self, commemorate your story, and empower you to see your beauty.
